Our Story


Dukaanwala is born out of necessity and a desire for a change. When we first moved to the UAE, like many, we had limited resources to set-up our home. We quickly realized the struggle of finding quality, affordable household items, and later the difficulty of selling items no longer needed by us. Faced with unreliable buyers, endless negotiations, and privacy concerns, we often resorted calling waste management services to remove items that could have been given a second life.

That experience ignited our passion to create something simple but different — a digital marketplace where buying of pre-loved items is easier, smarter and more accessible for everyone. We envisioned a place where buyers could find affordable treasures and sellers could feel assured knowing their pre-loved items are being put to good use.
